Located in the heart of downtown, City Park is the perfect place to picnic, play or stroll through before or after seeing a movie, shopping, or eating at one of the many nearby restaurants. City Park has always been a favorite location for events and gatherings celebrating local holidays like Pioneer Day and the Mid-State Fair Pancake Breakfast to national holidays such as the 4th of July. City Park hosts Concerts in the Park, Trading Day, the Wine Festival and several car shows. The park has a playground, restrooms, several picnic tables, and horseshoe pits. The land upon which City Park sits was donated by the town’s founders (James and Blackburn) for the specific use of a public park.
Downtown City Park is open 6 am to 11 pm. Alcohol is only allowed at the park with a permit. No dogs allowed.
